This activity communicates to the whole team the progress they have made. As this is a major factor in motivation, XP teams very often use big, visible charts to show their progress. These charts are very often placed in the open workspace and visible to anyone who enters the team area.

A suitable chart would track the number of customer tests defined and running by iteration. The vertical axis is the number of tests; the horizontal axis is the iteration number.
